Are TechCenter21 and iTRAC compatible with Windows 7?
Unfortunately, iTRAC including techcenter21 and LifeCenter21 is NOT compatible with Windows 7. There are no plans to update the program or any modules for compatibility in the future.
Last year, AES tested the compatibility of iTRAC techcenter21 and LifeCenter21 products with Windows 7. Our decision to perform these tests was based on our desire to provide our clients with the best possible information when faced with the decision to upgrade to Windows 7.
As a result of our tests, our best recommendation is that techcenter21 and LifeCenter21 clients remain on their current Windows systems. We do not recommend that clients upgrade to Windows 7. And therefore, AES is unable to support clients running techcenter21 or LifeCenter21 on the Windows 7 operating system.
Specifically, we found compatibility issues ranging from minor to major in iTRAC and in several of the third-party software applications used in individual modules. For many of these items, there are methods for working around the issues, but not as the iTRAC software is installed or as the current installation instructions and Student and Teacher Manuals are written.
