iTRAC 1.2: Run Network Installation Software at the Lab Management Station

1.       Exit techcenter21 back to the Windows® desktop.

2.       Disable any file protection software.

3.       Click Start, click Programs, click techcenter21 (or LifeCenter21 or BusinessCenter21) and click Toolbox.

4.       Double-click Network Installation Software

5.       Click YES to Relay Host. Only the Lab Management Station or Server hosts the relay. Click Next.\

6.       Type the name for the Relay. This is an important because there may be other AES labs on your network.  Name your relay so it is specifically associated with your lab.  Click Next

7.       Select the type of network in your lab, and then click Next.

§         Peer to Peer = you and your computer stations

§         Client Server = your LMS and stations are connected to a Server outside/inside of the room? 

§         If your global area (TC21Net folder) is on the hard drive of the LMS,  choose, the second choice (existing network folder). 

§         If the global area (TC21Net) is on the Server, Click the third choice and browse to the global area on the server or type in the network path.

 

1.       Enter the total number of stations in the lab, and then click Next

2.       Enter the ID for this station (LMS), and then click Next

1.       Enter the Contact Information and then click Finish.  You will see messages that the system is running Network tests.  Please let the system run through this process uninterrupted.

2.       The AES Real-time Relay will launch and connect, then it will collapse into the notification area beside the clock.  The Relay must be running at all times for the network connection and real time features to function normally.  Once the relay drops down into the system tray, launch TC, BC or LC and see if network connection has been found.
