webTRAC: Access a Closed-Out Unit

At the end of every unit, students close out the unit. When students close out a unit, an end date will be “stamped on” the students’ work. The end date is used by the Grade Book when calculating marking period and final grades.

You can allow students to return to a closed-out unit.

From Curriculum Viewer:

1.       Instruct the student to log into Curriculum Viewer.

2.       On the class home page, instruct students to click the Go button beside the unit name.

3.       When they see the Re-open Unit dialog box, enter your teacher password at the student station.

From webTRAC Manager:

1.       In the webTRAC Manager, open the Grade Book.

2.       On the left side of the screen, click to open the Grades page.

3.       After Class Period, use the down-arrow to select the Class Period.

4.       If printing a specific student’s grades, click to select that student.

5.       Double-click the cell where the student's name intersects with the unit name.

6.       In the Unit Details window, check if the unit is In-Progress or Completed.

§         If the status is Completed, you can change it to In-Progress and the student can continue to work in the unit.

§         If the status is In-Progress, it will continue to show up in the next marking period until the status is changed to Completed.

Note that reopening the unit removes any Unit override score. It does NOT reset student work.
