 webTRAC: Create Student Profiles and Edit Pacing

A student profile is a group of settings that control how students are assessed and allowed to proceed through the curriculum.

Curriculum Pacing settings determine how a class or individual student is permitted to move forward in the Curriculum Viewer. Curriculum pacing must be set as part of a student profile.

* NOTE: Mode 4 is only available in webTRAC 3.1 or newer.


1.       Open the webTRAC Manager.

2.       When prompted, enter the webTRAC Administrator logon name and password, and then click OK.

3.       On the Virtual Desktop, click Lab Setup.

4.       On the left side of the screen, click to open the Student Profiles page.

5.       On the right side of the screen in Help, review the information about Student Profiles, including Profile Organization.

6.       If needed, on the Help toolbar, click Help for Page.

7.       In Help, click Create new profiles. Review the information in Help.

8.       Create a student profile:

§         In the toolbar, click New.

§         Enter the name for the profile, and then click Next.

§         Select the folder for the template. Master Profiles can only be created by users with webTRAC Administrator privileges. Click Next.

§         Open the Profiles folders and click the profile to be used as a base for the new profile. Click Next.

§         Click Finish.

§         If desired, under the General tab, enter a description of the student profile. The description is useful if you plan to share the profile with other teachers.

§         If you want to share the profile with other teachers, click Share profile with other teachers.

§         Click the Grade Definitions tab. To edit letter grades, enter edits into an existing row. To add rows, click New.

§         Click the Category Assessment tab. Customize the options.

§         Click the Question Assessment tab. Edit the point values for questions. Review and edit the Automatic Evaluation settings.

§         Click the Curriculum Pacing tab. Customize the options.

§         In the toolbar, click Save.
