webTRAC: Edit Unit Weight

NOTE: Use the appropriate instructions below based on your webTRAC version.

To check the webTRAC version:

1.     Log into webTRAC Manager.

2.     On the webTRAC virtual desktop, locate the potted plant. The potted plant is in the upper left corner of the screen.

3.     Click the potted plant.

4.     The build number is listed on the message board.


Units are weighted to adjust the importance of one unit with respect to another unit in the curriculum sequence. Unit weight is the weight of a unit compared to other units in the course.

1.     In the webTRAC Manager, open click Lab Setup.

2.     On the left side of the screen, click to open the Course Templates page or the Class Periods page.

3.     To edit the weight of a unit in a Course Template, use the following:

§  Under Course Templates, select the course template.

§  For webTRAC 3.1 or newer: Click the Unit Assignments tab, and then click the Edit Unit Assignments button.

§  For webTRAC 3.0 : Under webTRAC Units, click the Edit Units button.

§  Under Unit Sequence, click the weight of the unit.

§  Type the new weight.

§  Click OK.

4.     To edit the weight of a unit in a Class Period, use the following:

§  Under Class Periods, select the class period.

§  For webTRAC 3.1 or newer: Click the Unit Assignments tab, and then click the Edit Unit Assignments button.

§  For webTRAC 3.0 : Under webTRAC Units, click the Edit Units button.

§  Under Unit Sequence, click the weight of the unit.

§  Type the new weight.

§  Click OK.

5.     On the toolbar, click Save.
