August 2011 Release

New Remote Assistance Link on Your Dashboard

A Remote Assistance link was added to the Instructor dashboard. The link opens a new window with the Remote Assistance page from the www.aeseducation.com site. Use this link to contact us remotely from your workstation or a student’s. Once connected, you can allow our support staff to control your mouse and/or keyboard so that we can help resolve any issue you or your students are experiencing. You can also use remote assistance to show our support staff what you are seeing on your screen if you find it difficult to explain. Finally, you can use the remote assistance tool to simply chat with our support staff. Chat is also available using Live Help.

Updated Help Videos and Pages Released

We’ve updated our Help videos and pages to keep them current with recent changes made to the online system. Help is a great resource for you, particularly outside of our customer support hours.

July 2011 Release

Summary of Updates

  • Content Update – Change all “My Pyramid” references to “My Plate” in order to follow USDA recommendations.
  • New Business&ITCenter21 modules – The new modules are Word Processing: Intermediate and Spreadsheets:Basic.
  • Feature update – Capability to export all student grades for a module to an Excel spreadsheet
  • Feature update – Implemented SSL Security on the web site.

June 2011 Release

The quiz details page that is part of the Grades tab now provides improved quiz status information. Instructors can clearly see when quizzes are in-progress, completed and when students have abandoned quizzes by opening tabs or closing the browser mid-quiz. These same updates hold true for the module test.

May 2011 Release

Our getting started videos for the Instructor have been updated to include two new videos. The first video provides an overview of the entire learn.aeseducation.com system. The second video includes more information on our Catalog tab.

 

April 2011 Release

Instructors will see the following improvements to quizzes and tests in many modules:

  • An increased number of novel questions across assessments, in order to reduce memorization and heighten student performance.
  • True/false questions in quizzes and tests have been replaced with multiple-choice questions, in order for students to more-accurately demonstrate their understanding. Non-assessed true/false questions will remain within curriculum lessons as a way for students to gauge their comprehension prior to a quiz.
  • The Grades tab has a new view that makes it easier for instructors to see quiz and test grades for all students for a specific module.
