Google Applications Curriculum: Google Apps Fundamentals

Computer Applications | Google Apps

While working with Business and Computer Applications teachers, we have heard a lot of interest expressed in learning content that covers cloud-based office applications such as Google Applications and Office 365.

Because there are few Google Applications curriculum resources currently available, and because Chromebooks are gaining popularity in many schools, our development team decided to work on Google Applications. This curriculum includes modules covering: Google Apps, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.

Overview of the Google Apps Curriculum

Each module includes online learning with hands-on activities using the specific Google application. The content not only provides instructions on how to use features within the applications, but also explains concepts such as:

  • Relative versus absolute addressing in Google Sheets
  • Benefits of using paragraph styles in Google Docs

In addition to the online learning, each module includes unit quizzes and a comprehensive module test to assess the students. Worksheets are also provided to the student, which can be filled out as they progress through the lessons. These worksheets are a handy study guide for the quizzes and tests. These are the modules that will be included:
