The American Heart Association recently released updated 2010 CPR guidelines that change the focus from A-B-C (Airway, Breathing, Chest compressions) to C-A-B (Chest compressions, Airway, Breathing).

All CPR material in was updated to follow the the 2010 AHA guidelines.dits affect the CPR Methods module, as well as the Shock and Resuscitation module (EMS-only):

  • Content pages now reference new recommendations for CAB procedure, compression depth, and rate
  • Skill demonstrations and checklists have changed
  • Quizzes and tests focus on new procedures
  • Teacher lesson plans include a master copy of the updated checklists
  • Teacher presentations contain updated content


Other updates where also made to the Pediatric CPR unit:

  • Child One-Person Rescue and Child Two-Person Rescue lessons were combined in the new lesson, Child Rescue.
  • Infant One-Person Rescue and Infant Two-Person Rescue lessons Were combined in the new lesson, Infant Rescue.
  • Teacher lesson plans and presentation were updated to reflect the changes
